Pretty much a disappointment. I was interested in the Ramayanam part, considering it was based more on Kamban’s version, which I have been less-exposed to. The first striking thing in the book is the unbelievable number of spelling mistakes! Penguin guys don’t proof-read is it? I would suggest buying the third part of the book “Gods, Demons and others” ISBN 8121500931. Sundeep Prakashan claims it’s now out of print though… (costs just Rs. 375 in India)
